Combining learning with pleasure

The Ecole des Vins offers courses that combine knowledge with pleasure. Our courses help unravel the complexity that is Burgundy and its wines.
For the last 30 years the Ecole des Vins has educated thousands of wine lovers from all over the world; beginners, connoisseurs and wine professionals alike.
Our courses are open and accessible to all with no entrance exam and no prior wine knowledge required. On completion of each course (minimum 1 day), you will receive our “Burgundy Wine Ambassador” diploma.

A range of courses to choose from

The wide range of courses available at the Ecole des Vins means that everyone should find one to suit them. The courses range from 1 and a half hours to 5 days. For group bookings with a minimum of 8 people the contents of the courses can be constructed to suit your particular interests, time restrictions and level of knowledge.
Topics covered include; viticulture, winemaking in Burgundy, wine and food matching and wine tasting techniques. These are just some of the possibilities that you can explore during a morning conference, day-long seminar, weekend excursion in the vines, evening tasting event, or whatever suits you best.
Courses usually begin in our fully-equipped tasting room or conference hall, then can continue out in the vines, in the cellars of the winemakers and wine merchants of Burgundy, and even at the table in one of many local restaurants. Our travel agency license also allows us to coordinate hotel accommodation, restaurant reservations, visits, and group transport.
