Founded in 1974 by the Interprofession Wine Organisation unites the grapegrowers and wine merchants of Burgundy’s five famous wine producing areas, the Ecole des Vins de Bourgogne benefits from an exceptional array of teaching tools that have helped to contribute to its acclaim today:
· 3 Wine Centres, modern, comfortable and fully-equipped, in Beaune, Chablis and Mâcon.
· 2 Professional Tasting rooms that each seat up to 40 people, and 2 sensory analysis rooms that can seat up to 12 and 24 people.
· A team of over 10 highly qualified teaching staff who are known for their level of professionalism and the quality of their teaching methods. They include engineers, oenologists, researchers, technicians, sommeliers, and professional wine tasters from Burgundy.
· A selection of more than 150 different Burgundy wines specifically chosen for their quality, coming from the “Caves de prestige” of the Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne.
· A wide range of resources which are regularly revised and updated.
· An impressive collection of addresses that opens the doors of renowned estates, cooperative cellars and wine-merchant houses, from Chablis to Mâcon, including the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Auxerrois and Côte Chalonnaise
